A quick intro about me
Emcee Thamizharasan Karunakaran popularly known as R K Thamizh is an experienced event anchor based in Chennai. I specialize in hosting a wide range of events, including birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, get-togethers, and social gatherings.
My journey in the media industry began with Puthuyugam TV Channel, where I worked as a freelance actor in 2013-14, followed by a stint at ITV in 2014 as a show producer and anchor. Since 2015, I have been pursuing my passion for events full-time. Over the past 14 years (as of September 30, 2025), I have successfully hosted close to 2500 Events – engaging live audiences across India and virtual audiences around the globe.
I have also ventured into acting, featuring in the award-winning Tamil movie “Aruvi”, the acclaimed short film “Rudran”, and several other short films. My appearances extend to various TV and YouTube channels, including a role in the popular “Bharathi Kannamma” serial on Star Vijay TV.
In addition to being an event emcee, I also serve as an emcee manager, leading a dynamic team of male and female anchors proficient in multiple languages, capable of hosting events across the country.
